Bass at Roosevelt University
Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts provides students with a comprehensive perspective of the double bass. In general each week, a student in the Roosevelt University bass program attends the following:
-Weekly Private Lessons lasting at least one hour
-Weekly Bass Studio Class
-Orchestral Repertoire Class
-String Performance Class
-Symphony Orchestra Rehearsals

Private Lessons
I enjoy teaching younger students, and seeing them develop the necessary skills to perform on the double bass for as long as they would like. It is imperative that young students receive the highest quality instruction from an early age, especially with the double bass, as faulty technique can cause major long term problems.
